On Monday the financial panic reached Jackson, and depositors in the country made a run on the First National Bank of Jackson. The officers of the Bank very wisely declined paying out money where they knew the parties did not need it. The folly of parties crippling the efficiency of their home Bank, ought to be apparent to all. The first National Bank of Jackson is perfectly safe, and all the merchants, and business men of Jackson, make their deposits as usual, We have a few dollars on deposit, and we will leave it there, feeling perfectly secure, as the assets of the Bank are largely over and above its liabilities.
