PEOPLES BANK Depositors Equal Withdrawals; Meet of and Stockholders Held According to information from Lake City last night the Peoples Bank withstood the heavy run made on it early yesterday morning in most satisfactory shape and it was further declared that there every that the bank will weather the storm. The afternoon business of the bank normal, When the day's business ended it was announced that deposits for the day equalled withdrawals. The run started as soon as the bank opened early yesterday morning. Cashier Rickenbaker, Lynch, G. R. Bowen, and others addressed those who had gathered about the doors assurthem of the solvency of the institution and therefore of the safety of their funds. Large sums of money were at hand for use if it had become necessary, stated. The run on the Peoples Bank was the result of the closing of two other institutions at Lake City, The Commercial and Savings Bank of Lake City more than week ago and the Farmand Merchants on Saturday joint meeting of the stockholders and depositors of the Farmers and Merchants bank was held last night with 600 present, Addresses were made by Dr. H.
