HAS NEVER FAILED. Erroneous Report Regarding Bank of Hampton Corrected. Columbia, S. C., May 25.-In reporting the failure of the Bank of Greenwood three days ago, it was stated that this was the first suspension since that of the Bank of Hampton, five years ago. This was an error, as the Bank of Hampton is, and always has been, a perfectly sound financial institution. The correspondent of the Morning News regrets the error. He accepted the statement of a supposed authority.
