SIGHT OF GOLD COIN STOPS RUN ON BANK WINDBER, Pa., Aug. 15.-A report was circulated among the foreigners residing here which reflected upon the stability of the Windber National Bank. Officers of the institution heard of it late Thursday night and opened the bank doors at 7 o'elock yesterday morning, expecting a run. These expectations were realized, and about 300 people withdrew their deposits. Within full view of the patrons was several hundred thousand dollars in gold, and this served to check the demand. Within an hour the run was over and a majority of the people who withdrew returned their funds.
