A Record Record to Record. County Recorder Benj. S. Burroughs and his office force are facing a stupendous task in the shape of spreading upon the county records one of the lengthiest instruments in the history of the office. It is a master deed from W. R. Walpole, jr., receiver, to R. S. Howard, receiver for the defunct Title Guarantee & Trust Co. of Portland and involves all of the Irrigation properties of the Oregon Land & Water Co., the Bailey Ditch Co., Columbia Land & Irrigation Co., Bingham Land & Water Co., Columbia Desert Land & Irrigation Co. et al which a year ago were sold under the foreclosure of a $283,000 mortgage. A year having elapsed since the sale without any attempt to redeem the property, the deed is given in pursuance to the law. The deed is 100 type-written pages in length and bound in book form. It will cost $105.40 to place it on the records.
