Description

Multiple contemporaneous articles (May 7, 1925) report the Liberty State Bank of Soper was closed by order of O. B. Mothersead, Oklahoma state bank commissioner, as a precaution against a threatened run after the Hugo National failed to open. The closure was by government order (commissioner) and no run, receivership, or permanent closing is reported in these items. There is no evidence here of a receivership or permanent failure; closure appears precautionary, so I classify as a suspension with likely reopening (no follow-up reopening article provided, so reopening is inferred as the most plausible non-failure outcome).
