CLOSED ITS DOORS YESTERDAY LIABILITIES $30,000 OR 35,000. ASSETS $15,000 ED BURNEY MADE RECEIVER By Judge Dickerson-A New Bank Will be Organized at Once The Bank of Rush Springs suspended business yesterday morning. Judge Diskerson was notified soon after the bank closed and he ap poiuted a receiver at once, Ed Burney being named. According to notification received here the liabilities of the bank are between $30,000 and $35,000 while the assets are abont $15,000. The bank had a capital stock of $20,000. It is stated that the failure of the bank is attributed to guaranteeing a feed bill for a large cattle feeder, Stephan Brown, cashier of the bank, is well known as a bright young business man and has always possessed the entire confidence of the business community. Rush Springs will not be without a e bank very long. Ed F. Johns, cashier of the Citizens National Bank, has already taken the prelimitary steps necessary to starting a national bank. He went to Rush Springs last night to look over the situation and stated that he expects to organize the First National Bank of Rush Springs.
