FILES SUIT AGAINST COUNTY OKMULGEE, March 10.-Charging that Okmulgee county owes the defunct Bank of Commerce interest of $5,205.7 because two judgments held against the county when the bank failed were not paid in time, C. G. Shull state banking commissioner, brought suit Friday against the board of commissioners and County Treasurer J. R. Jones. The judgments totalled $15,105.72 They were founded Feb. 27, 1922, and the treasurer sold the funding bonds, receiving $15,095.02, but the bank receiver did not receive the money until Nov. 29, 1927, it is alleged. Interest at six per cent from the date of sale of the bonds is asked. It is charged the county received in interest $2,838.13, which represented percent paid by local depository while the sum was held there. In the event the court does not find the bank entitled to 6 per cent interest, the commissioner asks that the 3 per cent, received by the county, be paid. money. Connecticut spent $129,069 to prepare and maintain 190 miles of them in 1927-an average of $679 a mile.
