CHURCH PROTESTS THE PAYING OF A NOTE Muskogee, Feb. 3-The statute 0 limitations was pleaded as a defense to an action to collect a note from the First Christian church, in an answer Tiled in superior court by the church The sult was brought in 1917 by J D Langford, state bank commissioner to collect a note for $150 held by the Union State Bank, which was taken over by the bank examiner. The note is signed "First Christian church, per D H Zink." The answer of the church declares Zink was not authorized to sign the church's name to the note, and the church is not liable the statute of limitations has run and the note is now outlawed
