Smith, assistant cashier of the First National bank of this place, and the report of a shortage, is subsiding. It is announced the bank is in excellent con lition with all the money It. needs. It has not refused any loans on customary terms nor called in any. Confidence seems to be entirely restored and the bank is running as if nothing occurred Smith has not been heard from
