CONNELLA MAKES TROUBLE. Comanche County Banker Who is Serving Forgery Sentence. A civil suit involving the affairs of Rufus R. Connella, the Comanche county banker. who is now serving a ten years' penitentiary sentence for forgery. was appealed to the supreme court today. Kerfoot, Miller, Arnold & Co., a wholesale firm, brought suit in the district court of Geer county against J. B. Jones, receiver of the Stock Exchange bank. of Hollis of which Connella was president at the time of its failure. The Waters Mercantile company. of which Connella was secretary had brought $300 worth of goods from the plaintiff company, but went under at the same time the bank did. The suit alleged conspiracy between the mercantile company and the bank, and sought to recover from the bank. The case was decided in favor of the defense in the lover court, and the dry goods people appealed.
