The body found in Cook pond at Plainville is supposed to be that of Walter Prior. The supposed recent injuries are now said to be old scars, and the theory of foul play has been abandoned. Mrs. Patrick Mulvey of Oak street, Meriden, died Sunday of pneumonia, aged thirtyeight. She leaves seven children to mourn her loss. The funeral will be held at St. Rose's church this morning at 9 o'clock. The house of Mrs. Julia Welton at Waterbury was nearly destroyed by fire Saturday afternoon. The loss is partly covered by insurance. Two Waterbury women, sisters, who drew out their savings at the time of the run on the Dime savings bank put them away in a couple of trunks for greater security. Now the trunks have been burst open and the money, nearly $600 in all, is gone. Both are poor women and the money represented the economies of a considerable time.
