Description

The bank was closed under the national bank holiday (government action) in March 1933 and was awaiting federal permission to reopen. An article (Aug 18, 1933) still describes the bank as being operated on a restricted basis. There is no explicit confirmed reopening in the provided articles—Article 1 reports expectation of reopening within days; Article 2 shows restrictions persist months later. I classify as suspension_reopening because Article 1 describes pending resumption and no run is reported; however reopening is not explicitly documented in the supplied text, so the outcome is somewhat uncertain.
