Description

Articles (Apr 30, 1927) report the College Corner Banking Co. had closed after examiners found a $70,000 shortage and the cashier (Stout) is charged with misappropriation and vanished repeatedly. No mention of a depositor run; bank was closed/suspended and appears to remain closed pending grand jury/examiner action. I corrected OCR artifacts in snippets when extracting quotes.
