CAREY HARD HIT BY FIRE TODAY FIRE COMPANIES FROM THREE CITIES HELPED FIGHT $100,000 ELEVATOR BLAZE. CAREY. O., May Property loss of $100,000 was suffered in an early morning blaze in the heart of the business section here today, which destroyed the Carey Mill and Elevator Corp. The fire also destroyed 7,000 bushels of wheat. 3,000 bushels of oats, car load of flour, and quantity of rye. Fire departments from Findlay, Fostoria, and Upper Sandusky were called before the fire was placed under control. Nearby buildings were threatened. The First National Bank building was damaged and business in the bank was suspended today. Cause of the fire is undetermined. This is the second fire to strike this city within the past ten days.
