SUGGESTIONS FOR SUMMER. It is of great importance that the system should be in a vigerous condition when the hot weather commences. The effects of a high temperature upon an enfeebled frame are always more or less disastrous. The loss of substance and the declension of nervous power, occasioned by excessive heat, can only be compensated by the active, healthful, and regular exercise of all the bodily functions by which the waste of nature is replenished and the vital energies renewed. The great utility of Hostetter's Stomach Bitters as a means of toning, invigorating and regulating the organs of the body, is universally acknowledged. As & tomic it stimulates the flagging appetite and accelerates digestion; as a corrective it neutralizes acidity of the stomach and relieves flatulency; as an alternative and mild aperient it regulates the liver and the bowels; as an ancdyne it promotes tranquil sleep; as a wholesome stimulant it imparts firminess and elas. ticity to the relaxed and frembling serves, and as a blood depurent it purifies the vital stream. The value of such a specific to the weak and debilitated is beyond all estimate. To invalida wilted down by the sultry heat of midsummer. it is as refreshing and vitalizing as the cool night dew to the stinscorched flowers. Composed of vegetable elements only. with s basis of pure diffusive stimulant, it is safe an d palatable, as well as medicinal. In fever and ague districts and wherever the natural conditions are conducive to epidemic disease, it is considered the best safeguard against malarious infec. tion, and the speediest remedy for intermittent and remittent fevers. j58-eo3t& W REGISTER'S OFFICE, IF DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, June , 1872 Notice is hereby given that on the 30TH DAY OF JUNE. 1872, will expire all Licenses issued by the Distriot of Columbia for Carts. Wagons. Drays, Han Carts, Hacks, Carriages, Cabs, Omnibusses, and Street cars. All said Licenses expiring on said date must be promptly renewed. Applications for Licensrs must be made to the Le. gister, by whom a certificate will be issued st sting the particular kind of License applied for, and the amount of money required therefor. Faid certificate shall be delivered to the Collector, who shall, upon the receipt of the BUY of money stated thereto. give a certificate of deposit, stating the amount of money paid and the kind of License required, and upon presentation of which to the Register the License will be issued. je29-10t JOHN F. COOK. Register D.C. ROSADALIS. 05 "Life of the feeh is in the Blood." The blood circulates throughout the system, depositing new flesh, tissue and muscle, as the old becomes effete and disappears. If the new material be corrupt and unsound, it is evident that the systenu will not perform its duties well; some part or another will be like ill-fitting machinery, that works unevenly and creaks and wears out of shape. In this way the body becomes the seat of suffering and disease. As these are but the effects of impure blood. it is evident that to the blood the mode of cure must be directed. It is here that the "ROSADALIS" has its value and reportation. It purifies the blood. It puts the origin of the gradual renova. tion that goe3 on throughout our physical system on a sound, pure. healthy basis, and tbus brings a robust constitution, even where hope of relief had fled. jy3-eo2w BAVING MADE AN ENGAGEMENT with HABLE BROS.
