FROM THE AMERICAN VOLUNTEER. Carlisle, July 22. We are authorised to state, that the Board of Directors of the "Pennsylvania Agricultural and Manufacturing Bank" have suspended the further operations of the institution, so far as respects specie payments. They assure the public that funds will be provided in a reasonable time to redeem all the paper, and to discharge all the debts due by the Bank.

Those marked thus *], have determined we understand to wind up their concerns as soonas circumstances will permit; and the others that have suspended payment will probably adopt a similar measure. BANKS: LEXINGTON (Ky.) August 25.-Since our last, the following have been added 10 the list of doubtful banks, viz: Georgetown, Shelbyville, Carlisle, Springfield, Burksville.
