CHURCH DIFFICULTIES. The sale of the Tompkins Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church building, Brooklyn, which was advertised to take place yesterday by auction, was postponed on account of some irregularities in the legal proceedings. The trustees of the Bedford Avenue Congregational Church have been notified by Mr. M. Ogden, receiver of the Long Island Bank, that the mortgage of $8,000 on the church held by the bank, and which was foreclosed some time ago, must be paid or he would be compelled to sell the property.
