FINISH COURT AT MADISON. Clark Had to be Carried Out of Court Room. Madison, Neb., March 31. -Special to The News: The jury work in the district court has been completed and the jurors have all left for their homes. They ended this morning. John Clark was found guilty of the crime with which he was charged and will be sentenced later in the day by Judge Boyd. He will have to go to the penitentiary. Flossie Richardson, a little 13-year-old girl from South Norfolk, the daughter of a section man, was the victim of Clark's crimes. He is the fellow who has been tried in many courts for many different offenses. The sentence upon Frank Tanner has not been pronounced yet but will be given later in the day. Equity cases are now being tried and the court will probably adjourn today. The case of Long VS. Clayton is being tried, and that of Seed VS. Nixon has gone to the court. The jury in the Clark case was out from 5 o'clock last night until 5 this morning and when the verdict was read, the prisoner completely collapsed, going all to pieces. He had to be carried from the court room to the jail. In the case of Benton VS. Long a demurrer in each case was overruled. In the case of Marion Beed VS. Mitchell for a mechanic's lien, a decree was rendered in favor of the plaintiff. In the case of Case VS. Deuel et al, it was agreed by the counsel that the evidence should be taken at Tilden at such a time as may be designated by the court. The report of W. H. Bucholz as receiver of the Farmers and Drovers' bank of Battle Creek, was received by the court and the receiver discharged.
