Description

Articles from Jan 1928 refer to L. R. Baird (receiver) of the Farmers Bank of Golden Valley and a civil action; by July 18, 1928 the closed bank (under receiver) is paying a dividend to depositors. There is no mention of a depositor run in the articles. OCR shows slight name spelling variations (Baird/Bird/Laird); I use 'Baird' as in two articles but this does not change bank identity.
