NOTICE. Default having been made in the payment of those bonds secured by that deed of trust dated the 28th day of July, 1931. executed by John T. Smith and Carrie P. Smith. his wife, recorded in Vance County Registry in Book 162 at page 462. and at the request of the Holder thereof the undersigned Trustee will offer for sale and seil to the highest bidder for cash, at the Courthouse door in Henderson. North Carolina, at 12 o'clock midday, on Wednesday, November 20, 1940. the following described real estate: Begin at a stake on new road. Harris' corner, and run thence S 2 1-4 W 23.53 chains to branch. Harris' corner: thence down the branch S 47 1-2 E 4.50 chains, S 75 E 2.40 chs., S 64 E 1.10 chs. S 52 E 1.00 chs., N 82 E 0.70 chs., S 60 1-2 E 3.15 chs., S 88 E 3.60 chs., S 69 1-2 E 1.00 chs., S 60 E 1.60 chs., S 56 E 1.85 chs., N 71 E 0.35 chs.. to stake at bridge: thence N 2 1-4 E 35 10 chs., to pin at barn: thence along old road S 88 W 11.10 chns. thence W 1.56 chas., to new road: thence down new road S 71 W 58 chns. to beginning. containing 62 1-2 acres more or less and being known as the Reavis tract and described as First Tract in deed from T. S. Kittrell. Trustee to Bank of Vance, Receiver, in Book 141 at page 345, and in deed from Bank of Vance, Receiver to K. L. Burton. Receiver as recorded in Book 139 at page 413, and in Map in Plat Book "A" at page 78, office of the Register of Deeds of Vance County, to which records reference is hereby made, being the same land this day conveyed to us by K. L. Burton. Receiver, and this deed of trust is to secure the balance of purchase price thereof. It is understood and agreed that we assume the balance of the payments and all amounts due the Federal Land Bank of Columbia on this land.
