Description

Newspaper reports July 1926 describe small depositors withdrawing early July and a run that preceded the bank failing to open and being turned over to the Department of State Finance; thereafter the bank remained defunct with a receiver bringing suits in 1927 and litigation continuing into 1930. I corrected OCR errors in the article text when extracting snippets. The suspension was by state examiners/Department of State Finance and the bank entered receivership and did not reopen.
