HEAD OF DEFUNCT BANK FOUND DEAD IN WELL Edward M. Smith Had Been Worrying Over Financial Affairs. By Associated Press. GREENVILLE, MO., April 2.-Edward M. Smith, 57. president of the defunct Wayne County Bank, and prominent man here, was found dead at the bottom of an abandoned on his farm shortly before noon today. He was said to have been in 111 health and to have been worrying over financial af. fairs. Smith was president of the Wayne County Bank since Its or ganization, in 1900, until It failed last August.
