Golden City Bank Closed. The banking house of the Golden City Banking company was closed Wed. nesday by order of the state examiner, R. W Hawkins. The bank will be placed in the hands of a receiver for a period of sixty days, at the end of which time, probably sooner, it will be determined whether it is to continue business or beclosed permanently. It is rumored that there is a discrepancy of four or five thousand dollars in the bookkeeping, but any positive statement in regard to this would now be premature, as nothing authentic in regard to the finances is yet given to the public. The cashier, Mr. W. S Morrow, gare the Herald the following statement with the request that it be published. "This bank is voluntarily closed. Assets good. Every dollar will be paid. W. S. Morrow." -Golden City Herald.
