Description

The First National Bank of Riverbank was closed in December 1925 after its chairman/manager C. (L.) Flack disappeared and $14,000 was found missing. A receiver (Charles A. LaBree) was appointed and pursued litigation to collect assets; the bank remained defunct and the receiver sold assets and paid dividends to depositors. No discrete depositor run is described in the articles; the closure was due to bank-specific malfeasance and led to receivership and liquidation.
