Description

Multiple newspapers (Nov 29–30, 1904) report an intraday run on Kalamazoo Savings Bank of about $50,000 (one source's OCR gives $150,000). The run was met by keeping the bank open two hours late and was considered broken. Cause: court suit involving Henry Brees estate led depositors to misunderstand and suspect insolvency (treated here as rumor/misinformation rather than verified bank insolvency).
