Browning Demands Barley Sale Delay COLUSA Browning, prominent farmer of Colusa, Butte and Glenn counties, today started proceedings in superior court here against Edward Rainey, state superintendent of banks, restrain the liquidator of The Colusa County Bank from disposing of 108,952 bags of barley valued $75,000. Browning claims the grain doubly secures his indebtedness the bank and that the barley sold on April the scheduled date of sale, heavy loss will result because the barley price down.
