BANK RECEIVER WILL OFFER MILL PROPERTY Personal property of the Farmers Milling and Elevator Co, one of Bessemer's older businesses will be offered to the highest bidder on May 10 to satisfy $6,000 chattel mortgage dated Nov. 27, 1922. The sale IS being held by the receiver of the Peoples State bank. The unpaid balance PETER GEDDA DANCE Legion and Auxiliary members of the Peter Gedda post will hold private dance at the Legion clubrooms tomorrow night. A good attendance is desired. Dewey Johnson of Duluth returned today after brief visit here with his father, Jim Johnson and other relatives. Mrs. Paul Michetti and James Galetto of Laurium were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Michela yesterday. Mr and Mrs. Gust Johnson and family of Minneapolis will leave tomorrow after visit with relatives and triends in Bessemer and Ironwood. They attended the funeral of Hilmer Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Johnson of Ironwood.

TO J. OCHIS SUIT Bank Receiver Seeks $15,000 Judgment Against Bessemer Man. Bessemer, Feb. 19. - The reply of Fenton J. Manning, Peoples State bank receiver. to the answer and cross blil filed by attorneys for Joseph Ochis, Bessemer, in the suit of the former to secure a $15,000 judgment against Ochis on promissory notes and a bank stock assessment, has been filed. In the cross bill Mr. Ochis has asked $14,000 set off on account counter claims. Notice of motion for summary judgment and affidavits III support have been filed in the suit of Jacob Wakkinen VS the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. Judgment of $528 and costs is sought. The Insurance company refused to pay the amount of policy on the life of Sandra Wakkinen on the ground that her application for the policy declared she healthy when she was actually ill with tuberculosis. The latest type of autogiro, designed and built by Juan Cierva, has wings and the diameter of the rotor is correspondingly increased. In a recent test it took off after a run of only 10 yards.

Bank Receiver Files Suit Against Fair Fenton Manning. receiver for the closed Peoples State Bank, has filed suit in circuit court to recover $3,000 from the old Gogebic County Fair Association on $2,250 note dated Feb. 15, 1932. plus interest. The fair association was dissolved by the board of supervisors at its annual meeting this month. Management of future fairs and the grounds was placed under the county agricultural committee and the road commission respectively.
