RECEIVERS FOR COLUMBUS, TEXAS, BANK APPOINTED Houston, Texas, Feb. 12.-The federal court Thursday appointed receivers for the Simpson bank at Columbus, Texas. The court had previoΓΉsly declared Friench Simpson and Carey Shaw, owners of the institution, bankrupts. Liabilities and assets of the bank were not announced.

RECEIVERS ARE APPOINTED Simpson Bank of Columbus, Tex., Is Defunct. HOUSTON, Tex., Feb. 10.-Len R. McFarlane of Houston and W. S. Miller of Columbus were appointed receivers Thursday by Judge Waller T. Burns of the federal district court for the Simpson bank of Columbus, Tex., following a writ issued by the court declaring the bank, French Simpson and Carey Shaw, owners, bankrupts. The action followed the filing by Mr. Simpson of an answer to a petition filed with the federal court January 20 by J. J. Odom, the Lavo Heater company.
