Strawberry Plains Bank Closes Doors Strawberry Plains, Tenn., Jan. 25. Bank of Strawberry Plains did not open for business today. This notice was posted on the door at 2:00 m. STRAWBERRY PLAINS BANK CLOSES DOORS Expects To Be Able To Pay Every Depositor. Special To The STRAWBERRY PLAINS. Jan. 25. Bank of Strawberry Plains did not open for business today. This notice posted was on the door at 2 p. m. Tuesday: "Due to unsettled conditions in the banking industry directors have decided to close and liquidate." The bank had capital of $10,000, deposits of and assets of $81,000. A. C. Parrott is president. W. E. Parrott, vicepresident, and T. C. Stone, cashier.
