STATE TAKES OVER BEECH GROVE

Deal With Murfreesboro stitution Fails To Materialize

The Farmers Bank and Trust company of Beach Grove which failed to open its doors several days ago has been over by the state banking department, It was first believed that Murfreesboro bank would refinance the bank so that it might continue business. However, it was learned today that it has gone into the hands of receivers. Esquire F. Shelton, president of the bank, declared that the depositions will not suffer great loss. About $11.500 was on deposit at the time the bank failed.

The Farmers Bank and Trust company of Beech Grove which failed to open its doors several days ago has been taken over by the state banking department, It was first believed that Murfreesboro bank would refinance the bank so that it might continue business. However, it was learned today that it has gone into the hands of receivers. Esquire S. Shelton, president of the bank, declared that the depositions will not suffer great loss. About $11,500 was on deposit at the time the bank failed.
