STOUT APPOINTS BANK RECEIVER

McCONNELL WILL TAKE OVER OF INSTITUTION AT MITCHELLVILLE, SUMNER COUNTY.

Judge Joseph W. Stout, of the Sixth Chancery Division of Tennessee, this afternoon, upon application presented by H. L. McGlothlin, of Gallatin, Tenn., appointed S. S. McConnell, state superintendent of banking, as receiver to take over and wind up the affairs of the Peoples' State Bank at Mitchellville, Sumner county, Tenn. L. N. Moore, cashier of the bank, who recently disappeared, has been arrested, it is said, in Jacksonville, Fla., and will be returned to Gallatin. The bank, which had a capital stock of $7,500, has been closed since October 1, shortly after the departure of Moore.

Petition Filed In Court Against Peoples Bank In Tennessee.

CLARKSVILLE, TENN., Oct. 11.โ€”Judge Joseph W. Stout, of the sixth chancery division of Tennessee this afternoon, upon application presented by H. L. McGlothin, of Gallatin, Tenn., appointed S. S. McConnell, state superintendent of banking, receiver to take over and wind up the affairs of the People's State Bank at Mitchellville, Sumner county, Tenn.

L. N. Moore, cashier of the bank who recently disappeared has been arrested it is said in Jacksonville, Fla., and will be returned to Gallatin. The bank had a capital stock of $7,500 and has been closed since October 1, shortly after the departure of Moore.
