Farmers State Bank Of Arthur Is Closed The Farmers State bank of Arthur, capitalized at $20,000 and with $52,000 listed in deposits, closed its doors Monday and is now in the hands of the bank examiner. A receiver is to be appointed in a short time, it is said. Depleted reserves is given as the cause for the closing. Stockholders are to meet this week to discuss plans for future action. They are working under the new law in an effort to obtain a trustee to take charge of all affairs looking to an adjustment of difficulties and the reopening of the institution.
