STATE TO RUN MILL TO PAY BANK'S DEPOSITORS Plan for state operation of a flour mill held among other assets of the state banking department following the failure of the Farmer's State Guaranty bank of Thomas is announced by O. B. Mothersead, acting bank commissioner. The mill is only two years old. The liquidating agent, John D. Garner has been offered but $5,000 for the property. In the meantime Custer county has prospects for a bumper wheat crop and Mothersead believes that at least $17,000 can be recovered by operating the mill this season in such a way as, at the same time prevent depreciation from allowing the machinery to stand idle. The state does not have sufficient finance to operate the larger Guthrie mill in a similar manner.
