BELIEVE IT OR NOT! According to the Coweta Times-Star, Sam Wilkerson president of the Commercial Bank at Nowata, would like to know the latest method of causa run on a bank. Thirty days ago the bank decided to voluntarily quit business and advertise for its depositors to call for their money. Around 300 depositors to date have not called for their money amounting to $60,000. The Wilkerson's have been in the banking business in Nowata for 20 years. A 3-column advertisement in the Nowata Star of last week's issue, contained the names in full of all the depositors.
