SETTLEMENT CHECKS AT BANK UNCLAIMED Depositors Fail to Call For 175 Payments of Thirty Per Cent GREENWOOD, Sept. 27. โ More than 175 checks for payment of the thirty per cent. settlement to depositors of the Citizens National Bank are still unclaimed, it was announced Friday by Joseph Drake, bank receiver. The payment of the thirty per cent. makes a total of ninety per cent. received by the depositors since the institution closed and since the funds were turned over to Mr. Drake on October 29, 1934. Sixty per cent. was paid at that time. The remaining ten per cent. will probably be paid in full. Mr. Drake is anxious to get affairs of the bank in such condition that it may be paid before the end of the present year. Persons calling at the bank for their checks are usually notified by letter that there is a check waiting them.
