A LEON BANK CLOSES The doors of the Farmers State Bank of Leon, Kan., were closed last Thursday, Apr. 3. A slow run on the bank was said to be the cause of the failure.

A. W. RAY, RECEIVER Thursday morning A. W. Ray took charge of the Farmers State Bank as receiver. This bank was voluntarily closed two weeks ago. E. J. Boland, president and A. W Ray, one of the four directors of the bank, have been in Topeka, a couple of days this week conferring with State Bank officials, in regard to settlement of the affairs of the bank. Mr. Ray is well fitted by his business experience to handle the affairs of the bank in an excellent and satisfactory manner. FOR SALE- Cabbage plants at 10c per dozen or 3 dozen for 25c. TO PAY DEPOSITORS Topeka, Aug. W. Johnstate bank receiver, will pay $4,900 to depositors of the New Cambria state bank. This makes 91 per cent. Aug. 6, the Hartford bank will be paid The state bank will be paid $8,200 on Aug. 11, the Sawker City Commercial state per cent on August and the Farmers state at Leon $10,000 on August 14. NEW BANK DIVIDENDS Topeka, Jan. Johnson, state bank make in full to Tyro State bank of money they had on deposit last May when the bank closed. On 16 the Citizens State of betha will receive final cent dividend. On the Commercial State of will be paid per cent, on 25 the Farmers State Leon will receive per cent and on Jan. 28 the Manhattan State will receive 25 per cent.
