CLOSE KANSAS BANK. Havana, Kans., Institution Reported "Badly Overloaned." (By the Associated Press.) Topeka, Kans., June 18.βThe Havana State Bank, of Havana, a town of 300 population in Montgomery County, was ordered closed today by State Bank Commissioner Carl J. Peterson. A check up is being made by bank examiners, now in charge. Officials of the bank reported they had not sufficient money with which to continue doing business, the bank being badly over loaned. The bank's last statement shows capitalization of $10,000; surplus $3,500; deposits, $69,000; loans, $69,000; borrowed money, $29,000. George P. Dolby is president and R. J. Conneway, vice president and cashier.
