FAILED LEBO BANK TRYING TO REOPEN Lebo Enterpriseβ€”The meeting of the Peoples State Bank was held as advertised in the Peerless Theater Monday afternoon. The meeting was called to order by Albert Still who told the object of the meeting, followed by bank examiner Tappen who told of the condition that exists at the bank. J. T. King, vice president, J. C. Bayless and president O. E. Williams addressed the meeting. These men made it plain that it wasn't money they wanted. All that they asked was that the depositors protect them against a run on the bank. The meeting was then turned over to the depositors and was addressed by Geo. and Clifford Ott, John Fulk and Dr. Lusk. A unanimous vote of confidence was given the stockholders. The assessment will be 225 per cent and will fall heavy on some of the stockholders. But every dollar is in sight and the bank will be ready to resume business as soon as all the orders of the banking department can be complied with.
