Sues Bank Receiver Et Al For His Money J. R. Walton, Coffeyville garage man yesterday filed suit in district court against the Condon National Bank, of Coffeyville, R. T. Kreipe, receiver and W. W. Olson, assistant receiver of the Farmers and Merchants State Bank of Chetopa, and Roy A. James, asking for a judgement against the defendants and each of them for $250 and interest, claiming a check given him by James went into the resources of the Chetopa bank just before it failed in 1922. The plaintiff alleges that the check from James was written Sept. 11, 1922 and the bank failed Sept. 18, 1922, and the Chetopa bank refused and its receiver refused to pay it. He asks that it be made a preferred claim on the bank.
