MONEY MARKET, Tuesday, Jan. 28-6P. M. Stocks improved to-day slightly, while the transactions were much larger than usual. Erie Railroad advanced I per cent, Norwich and Worcester 1, Canton E. Long Island Mohawk 1. Texas Treasury Notes 2. Illinois 1 while Pennsylvania 5's, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio 6's, and Morris Canal closed firm at yesterday's prices.
