DIRECTORS CLOSE BANK OF FLORENCE By The Associated Press. JEFFERSON CITY, Nov. 9.βThe Bank of Florence, at Florence, in Morgan County, has been closed by its board of directors, the state finance department announced today. The last statement of the bank showed resources totaling $45,125. It listed loans totaling $28,373; $1,500 bills payable, and $32,106 deposits. H. G. Elliott, a state bank examiner, has been placed in charge by State Finance Commissioner O. H. Moberly. W. P. Stephens was president and J. S. Daniels cashier. It was the first unrestricted state bank to close since the 1933 banking holiday.
