BANK OF EVERTON CLOSED State Finance Department Takes Over Institution Today JEFFERSON CITY. July The Bank of Everton, in Dade county, notified the State Finance Department today had closed its doors. The department took over the institution mediately. Plan to Reorganize Bank of Everton, Closed by Board The Bank of Everton. at Everton. Mo., one of the oldest banks in the region and the only one in that section of Dade county. was closed this morning by order of the board of directors. The bank had been in business for 42 years. Plans for reorganization and reopening of the bank already are under way. and will be worked out "as soon as possible,' the president and cashier of the bank Monte Poindexter said this morning. Depositors are fully protected. and there will be no losses resulting from the closing. Mr. Poindexter said. The bank had capital stock and surplus of $30,000; and outside holdings to bring its assets up to between $50,000 and $75,000. Deposits are $169.000 The bank two years ago bought and absorbed the Citizens bank at Everton. Officers and directors of the bank are Monte Poindexter. president and cashier; C.
