TRADE AND LABOR NOTES. CHATTANOOGA, Dec. 24.-The strike at the Soddy Coal Mines has ended, and all the miners, 300 in number, have returned to work. JACKSON, Mich., Dec. 24.-The Jackson Interest and Deposit Bank has made an assignment to Albert Stiles. The business was started in 1867 under the style of the Jackson Savings Bank, and changed in 1871. The bank suspended in 1873, owing, as they claimed, to their inability to get currency. but resumed shortly afterward. They did a good business. and were generally estimated to be worth about $75,000. WILKESBARRE, Dec. 24.-Messrs. Bates. Reed and Cooley of New-York. who recently obtained a judgment against Lee Mendleson, a dry-goods merchant here, caused his stock to be seized by the Sheriff last night. CHICAGO, Dec. 24.-J. R. Rothschild & Co., dealers in dry goods, were served with attachments last night on a judgment for $3,500 rendered in favorof New-Youkereditors. The firm confessed judgment in $30,000 this morning.
