30 Years Ago News Items Taken From the Files of the Enterprise of 1893 Manitowoc and Two Rivers Banks Fail The State Bank of Manitowoc and the Bank of Two Rivers both made an assignment on Tuesday as a result of heavy runs made on those institutions. The assets of both banks are said to be far in excess of the liabilities and both will no doubt be opened again in a short time and be ready to pay depositors every penny due. As a result of these bank failures a small run was started on a bank in this city but it soon subsided when depositors found that their money was perfectly safe.
