GENERAL NEWS. A daughter of George McKay, of Am. herst, N. J., put arsenic in some cake yesterday, mistaking it for baking powder. All the family ate of the cake. The daughter is dead, but the others will recover. The sixth annual assembly of the International Christian Workers' Association began in Washington yesterday. Postmaster General Wanamaker was among the speakers. President Harrison will act as arbitrator on the boundary dispute between Brazil and the Argentine Republic. The question will be decided in Washington this winter. A Valparaiso despatch to the New York Herald says a conspiracy against the new government has been discovered. Senor Juan McKenna, one of the political refugees in the United States legation, is accused of being the chief party in the movement. The run on the Boston Five Cent Savings Bank continued yesterday.
