However. the citizens are inclined to think Mr. Green a a victim of misfortune and do not attribute the failure to dishonesty. Mr. Wilder. the receiver, was a former cashier of the Dow City Bank and great confidence is reposed in him. The town is not to be without a bank as a result of the failure, for the First National Bank of Denison yesterday opened up there and will conduct a general banking business for the present. It is rumored that other parties are considering the feasibility of opening also.

Booth, former cashier of the defunct Dow City bank as he was passing through late in the afternoon. Booth was taken back to Denison at once, where it is understood. feeling still runs high against him, in spite of the time that has elapsed since his disappearance following the closing of the bank.
