The School Board of West Feliciana Parish met Wednesday, October 7, 1914, with all the members present. Board was called to order by Président J. P. Bowman. The minutes of the previous quarterly meeting and the minutes of the two meetings of the Executive Committee of the Board were read and approved. Superintendent Crump read his quarterly report to the Board. It was received and approved. The report reads as follows: Superintendent's Quarterly Report. For Quarter Ending Sept. 30, 1914. To. the School Board of West Feliciana Parish: In compliance with the law I beg leave 'to submit the following report upon the condition of the schools for the quarter ending September 30, 1914. FINANCIAL STATEMENT. Receipts During Quarter. This week closed the first month of school and we have obligations to meet to the amount of $2,000.00. The Finance Committee of the Board has authorized Mr. C. H. Argue to borrow this sum at once and other sums as needed. We have been assured by Mr. Gottlieb that in case the Farmers and Merchants Bank is reopened here by him that he would take care of our financial needs until the first of January. NUMBER OF WHITE SCHOOLS. There are in operation in the parish a total of eleven white schools with twentytwo white teachers. These schools, with one exception, have been running satisfactorily since Sept. 14. The one excep-
