Receivership Suit Is Taken Up Before Jansonius in Court I A jury was drawn in district court, this forenoon, to hear the suit of L. R. Baird. as receiver of the Farmers State Bank of Regan, against 12. C. Folmer, a civil action involving the validity of a bill of sale. Judge Fred Jansonius is sitting in the case. The jurors selected were George Haugen, Russell Barneck. Louis Martineson, Homer Craven, G. A. Bossert, E. E. Williams, Oscar Selvig, Allen Sawyer. Harold Breen, Fred Smith. Frank Paul and Henry McClosky. Judge Jansonius concluded the hearing in chambers of Albert Bossert. on a charge of illegitimate parentage. The jury declared the charged proved.

# COURT IS RECESSED # UNTIL 9:30 MONDAY # Verdict For Folmer In Bank Suit; Heaton vs. Reed Is Settled When Called Settlement of the suit of L. E. Heaton vs. M. B. Reed brought district civil court to an abrupt termination shortly before noon, today, just after a jury had been drawn to try the action. An adjustment of county claims involving the sale of grain to Heaton and purchases from him was involved. The jury was out for lunch when counsel announced settlement, and Judge Jansonius, considering the hour too late to start another case over the week-end, released the remaining jurors, then dismissed the trial jury when it came back at 1:30. He adjourned court until 9:30 Monday morning. The suit of L. R. Baird, as receiver for the Farmers State bank at Regan, against H. C. Folmer, went to the jury Friday and at.3 o'clock a verdict in favor of Folmer was brought in. The jury found for him in the sum of $300 "for the care and feed of stock, after allowing credit for the cream money." Folmer had taken over the care of the farm and stock of Fred Middlestad on an agreement to divide the proceeds of the dairying and farming on equal shares. Middlestad's property and stock were mortgaged to the bank. Later he transferred all the stock to Receiver Baird on a bill of sale, to avoid the expense of foreclosure. Folmer had fallen behind in his share of the produce, owing to poor crops, and he continued to. dispose of the cream and retain his share under the agreement, until the receiver made other arrangements for the custody of the place. His retention of the cream money and other actions in keeping with his agreement with Middlestad led to the suit.
