Exchanges al e being made with certificates instead of currency, as heretofore. THE RUN ON THE A UNION BANK CONTINUES-THE STOCK EXCHANGE STILL CLOBED. [By Associate Press.] NEW YORK, Sept, 23. The run continues on the Union demisaving g bank, but all parties conceed that the flurry is over. Gold is quoted at 121/2. The stock Exchange remains closed. The Government Committee meets to. MOITOW. THE GOLD EXCHANGE OPEN. The Gold exchange is open and regular trans_ actions are being made now at 12 1/2. THE STOCK MARKET OPENED. At noon, the Sub-Treasurer has bought'a million and a half in bonds. The excitement is subsiding, and the brokers have opened the market for stocks in the street, all transactioas being for cash. THE BOND PURCHASES AT THE BUB TREASURY. The total purchases of bonds at the Sub Treasury since Friday are over eight millions.
